Q1:  Does the price of the app cover all of my Apple devices?
Yes. For example, if you purchase the app for your iPhone, you can also install the app on your iPad at no extra cost.

Q2:  Is there a version of the app for the desktop, such as for Mac or Windows?
The long-term plan for that is to create a browser version of the app.

Q3:  Is there some sort of documentation so that I can more quickly learn how to use the app?
Yes - Documentation.

Q4:  Can I use Google Calendar or other types of calendars with iStratus DayPlanner?
Yes, you can use any calendar source that can be hooked up in the Apple Calendar app.

Q5:  Can I remove some calendars/events, such as holidays, from the calendar in the app?
Yes. In the app, navigate to the Calendar app, then tap the gear icon in the upper left, then tap User Settings, then tap Calendar Sources. From there, you can checkmark exactly what you want to show in the Calendar area in iStratus DayPlanner.

Q6:  Is the Password Vault included with the app at no extra cost?
Yes, the Password Vault comes with iStratus DayPlanner. It is also available as a standalone app for $2.99 - "iStratus Password Vault".

Q7:  My Calendar events aren't showing up on my Apple devices right away. How long does it take?
iStratus DayPlanner relies on the Apple Calendar system to synchronize all calendar sources, including Google Calendar sources. Normally, updates take place within a few seconds but sometimes it just takes longer (especially for Google Calendar). If some device seems to be failing to get updates, try this: Power off/on that device as well as your other Apple devices.
If you're still having issues with a Google Calendar that is hooked up in your Apple Calendar app, take a look at this: Google Calendar Sync with iOS. Another thing to take a look at is the setup for your accounts - go to the Settings app, then navigate to "Passwords & Accounts"/"Fetch New Data".
In iStratus DayPlanner version 9.8 there is a nice tool for forcing a refresh of the calendar events -- on the Calendar tab, pull down where the calendar events are displayed; you will see a spinner for about 1 second and soon after, your events will get synchronized (if everything is set up appropriately, of course).

Q8:  I just installed the app but my Dropbox content doesn't seem to be downloading to my device.
It is likely that you have a lot of data on Dropbox that is being synchronized with your device. This can take a while. To force synchronization of a particular folder, "pull down" from the top to refresh the folder (much like you can do in other Apple apps).

Q9:  I forgot my password. Can I just start over?
Upon entering the wrong password, tap "Recover" to see if you can find an older Password Vault that you remember the password for. It is more likely though that you just started using the Password Vault and you don't remember your password because you didn't write it down and you haven't had to enter it much yet. If you really do just want to start over, you can do this: Navigate to the Cloud tab and then to folder iStratus/iStratus-TABS/Security/Personal. You should see a file there called Security.7z. This file holds all of your passwords as well as your encryption keys. If you want to start over, you can delete this file - tap its icon then tap Delete. Note: If you are a Dropbox user, you can undelete this file (you have 30 days).

Q10:  Does the app work with the Apple Pencil?
Yes, the Apple Pencil works in the app. However, there are no special features that support the Apple Pencil yet, such as drawing (coming soon!).

Q11:  How can I set up alerts for ToDos?
There are no alerts for ToDos. iStratus DayPlanner is your daily companion so you will see your outstanding ToDos on the main screen. However, we do plan to start showing a badge/counter on the app icon shown on your device's home screen.

Q12:  Can I share ToDos with my family and friends?
Yes, you can. Check this out.

Q13:  Is there a trial version of the app?
There is no trial version of the app at this time.

Q14:  I am traveling outside of the United States. Why is the weather no longer showing for me?
We get weather information directly from U.S. NOAA. To get more coverage than that, we would have to offer subscriptions (maybe someday we will need to do that).

Q15:  In Dropbox, I have seen a file called ".iStratus.meta" in many of my folders. Can I remove it? What is it?
That file holds information about the particular folder's items, such as color, icon, font, flags, ToDo-status, etc. It is not a good idea to remove that file.

Q16:  Is there a version of the app for Android devices?
We are currently investigating a version of the app for Android devices.
